Andrea, a lifelong resident of Owens Cross Roads & proud graduate of New Hope High School, dreamed of one day becoming an elementary teacher. However, upon entering college she declared herself a Business Major. Andrea worked in the financial industry for eleven years & owned her own decorating and design business before joining The CARE Center’s team in January 2009. As The CARE Center’s Education Coordinator, Andrea has combined her knowledge of business and finance, her love for education and children, and her desire to encourage and serve others while she supports many CARE Center ministries. In addition to coordinating and overseeing all education initiatives, Andrea also writes & manages budgets including The CARE Center’s largest grant, including the 21st CCLC grant, which affords us The NHCLC (a partnership with NHES).
Andrea serves as a child advocate in our community & often finds herself serving as a parent, teacher, school and community advocate. Andrea believes in The CARE Center’s mission, to provide our neighbors the resources needed to develop and discover their own God given talents. Andrea feels completely blessed and honored to have the opportunity to assist and encourage some of our youngest neighbors daily in hopes of a brighter future!
Married to Kevin, they are the proud parents of a handsome son, Wesley, who will soon graduate from New Hope High School and plans to attend Harding University in the fall; and a beautiful daughter, Alexandrea, who is a member of New Hope High School’s Marching Indians Colorguard and Winterguard. As a family, they attend Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ where they are very involved with the Youth Ministry, Lads to Leaders Program, and mission work-both local and abroad.
